I just got a new book about what successful people do in the morning. I’m thinking, great, at last the mainstream is coming into line with the Chi-Cycle. But, no. It started out well about how decision-making uses up energy, and if you have an early morning routine it saves energy. Then the author went on to describe how ‘successful’ people use the early morning. Examples included people who got out of bed early and straight to a coffee and then spent 2 hours reading all the papers. She then suggested everyone get up early and use the ‘extra time’ to do things you don’t have time for later like studying, doing craft or having sex (every morning) – pretty much everything you don’t want to be doing according to the chi-cycle. Yes, get up early but not for coffee, newspapers, macrame or sex (that comes later) – get up for your soul. 5am to 7am is a magical time, it is when you can make a mystical connection so you will remember who you really are in the day ahead.
