In this pattern the liver’s function of storing blood is interfered with due to factors such as chronic sleep deprivation, skipping breakfast, rushing lunch or no lunch; nutrient poor diet, excessive coffee, lack of relaxation, lack of mindfulness, or hard core exercising combined with ‘explosive’ pre-workout supplements. This pattern can be also caused by a protein deficient vegan or vegetarian diet that can weaken the spleen which, in turn, cannot make enough blood. Then not enough blood is stored by the liver causing liver blood deficiency.
Symptoms:
Dizziness, faintness, numbness of limbs, intercostal pain, insomnia, headache, blurred vision, floaters in eyes, dry eyes, ringing in the ears, scanty menstruation or amenorrhea, dull or pale complexion, pale lips, muscular weakness, muscle spasms, cramps, withered and brittle nails, tremors, anxiety, lack of confidence.
