How to Navigate the Emotional Fog of Mass Transformation

I really believe we are being guided (very strongly!) to transition and transform from emotional reactivity and separation to a more spiritual, heart-centred way of living.

But transformation is a spiritual growth process, and part of that process is that everything will rise to the surface, including everything we don’t want!

The phenomenon of karmic shedding

People are knowingly or unknowingly shedding old patterns of toxic emotions. These float around like a fog and can land on us unaware.

You could call it ‘karmic shedding’ driven by the pressure of evolutionary forces (cosmic frequencies, life changes, collective awakening). It causes us to consciously or unconsciously release old emotional patterns, reactive behaviors, and energies that no longer serve our growth. That released energy creates what I call a ‘fog of reactivity’.

An example that many people can relate to, is the intense emotionality, the fights and division amongst siblings, that commonly happen when a parent dies. An invisible miasma or fog of old energies is released, it descends, nobody knows that though, and uncontrollable reactivity is usually the result.

Why It’s happening now

We’ve got that type of situation now, but millions of times more intense. The bombardment of frequencies, flares and photons from cosmic sources are putting the squeezers on us (this is all scientifically validated). The pressure is releasing old energies.

Plus old systems are dying creating insecurity and fear, and we’re getting reactive, releasing toxicity. It’s like we’re going full karmic shedding on a grand scale.

The result is a spreading fog of negative energies. It can land on you while you’re at work, in the mall or at a function. But it’s usually when you get back home, that you feel the effects.

It’s like a descending weight, like you ‘hit the wall’ or think you are ‘coming down with something‘.

Here’s the truth: It’s not you, it’s not them either! It’s the universe / cosmic consciousness accelerating our spiritual evolution.

Understanding the healing crisis

Healing and transformation always releases old patterns and emotions. In therapy this is a ‘healing crisis’. But in that one-on-one situation you’re expecting it, and there is (or should be) a strategy to process it.

No one’s expecting what we’re going through communally now, and maybe don’t even know we are going though anything, because its unprecedented.

Heaps of people are already flipping for ‘no reason’. I hear this from clients all the time: “I don’t know why I did it”. If you feel your pressure redlining, do everything possible in order to not react.

My 90-second karma timer solution

If you don’t engage with negative emotions when they arise, they will pass in 90 seconds (psychology research).

Going forward I reckon a 90 second a ‘karma timer’ on your phone / device is a great idea.

The second you feel yourself triggered either with or without an obvious cause (the fog), hit your timer, be still, breathe. Let it pass through you instead of becoming you.

Then you’ve taken everyone 90 seconds closer to that heart-centred new earth!!

How to set up your karma timer (iPhone)

It’s pretty easy to set up., but for those who don’t use timers, here’s how to create a one-tap button:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app (search for it or find it in your App Library)
  2. Tap the “+” button to create a new shortcut
  3. Search for “Start Timer” and add that action
  4. Tap on the “Start Timer” action, turn OFF “Ask Each Time”
  5. Set the duration to 1 minute 30 seconds (90 seconds)
  6. Tap “Done” to save
  7. Long-press on your new shortcut and select “Rename” – call it “Karma Timer” – you can also change colour – I suggest a soothing pink!
  8. Tap the three dots (•••) on your shortcut and select “Add to Home Screen”

Done!

Q: Why does the 90-second emotion rule work?

A: Psychology research shows that if you don’t engage with stressful emotions when they arise, they naturally pass in 90 seconds. Emotions are temporary chemical reactions in the body. When you observe without reacting, the wave moves through and dissipates on its own.

 

Q: What if I can’t access my phone to set the timer?

A: Simply count slowly to 90 in your head, or use the “breath counting” method: breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 4, breathe out for 4. Repeat this cycle about 7-8 times (roughly 90 seconds). The timer is just a tool – the practice of conscious stillness is what matters.

 

Q: How doe the karma timer work?

A: Whether you’re triggered by absorbed karmic fog from others OR experiencing your own emotional reactivity, the 90-second reset works the same way. It creates space between stimulus and response, allowing the emotion to pass through you instead of controlling you.

 

Q: Is karmic shedding the same as a healing crisis?

A: Similar concept. In therapy, a “healing crisis” is when transformation releases old patterns and emotions in a controlled, expected setting. Karmic shedding is the same process but it is now happening collectively and unconsciously on a mass scale, without the preparation or support structure of therapeutic setting.

 

Q: How long will this mass karmic shedding continue?

A: We’re in an unprecedented period of spiritual evolution and consciousness shift. While the intensity may fluctuate, this transformation process is ongoing.
