The theme of the week is belly fat.
It came into my mind (I’m usually getting what’s an issue on people’s minds out there), then clients presented with it, and then I heard health reports on it (this always happens to me, it’s like when you get a Mini, you see Mini’s everywhere).
Latest stats suggest that 98% of people (western cultures) have metabolic disorders, and obesity and weight gain is right up there. And one of the most dangerous areas of weight gain is belly fat because this affects your organs, the source of everything.
Belly fat compresses the organs.
Organs need to ‘breathe’ to function properly and deliver physical health, emotional happiness and spiritual succour. If you have healthy organs you are healthy (health is that simple). But if they’re squished, we’re in health trouble. Apart from feeling physically ‘off’; fear, anger, hopelessness and confusion are more likely.
Your organs regulate your emotions, regulate your organs and you’ll be happy and have a healthy weight. Everything is connected.
Belly fat is hard to shake.
Despite all the advice out there, burning calories by going to the gym or doing hundreds of sit-ups usually won’t do it for belly fat. Dieting doesn’t do it either. Dieting doesn’t do much at all really, except create the environment for eventual further weight gain.
To get rid of belly fat add chi.
Chi nourishes body and soul by nourishing our organs. And it’s all around us, and it’s free. Something as simple as lining up your day with the natural 24-hour chi cycle automatically gets you off to a good start on tackling belly fat. Because you’ll be saving your chi and catching some free chi, and this is organ healing territory.
There is a system to weight-loss, and establishing order in your day comes first.
Focus on the first half of the day. This is the change-making part. Start with a detox via chi + exercise between 5am and 7am. You’ll lose self-hate & weight. Mindful munching at breakfast means you’ll lose the toxins, keep the nutrients and lose the belly. Then be productive all morning, you’ll detox more, burn fat even while inactive, and get more energy.
If your day starts with coffee, scrolling, snooze-buttoning or working, systems go into reverse.
The ‘Girdle channel’ which circles the waist and regulates the upward and downward movement of chi, malfunctions. Waste products go up (heart disease) and nutrients go down the toilet (digestive disorders). Chi or energy gets stuck and becomes fat around the waist. It creates the tube body shape.
Only lifestyle changes can change this. And what I call ‘Waist products’. I use the three C’s – Chinese herbal formulas, chi movements & calmness (creates yin to balance yang).
And in this week’s youtube How to Lose Belly Fat and Why I’m showing another simple exercise/ chi sequence to get the upward and downward flow of chi working well, and to get chi moving in the belly to move and transform fat..
The takeaway: Love your organs, lose weight, love yourself!
