Spiritual awakening: a practical guide online course

by Jost Sauer

I just came across research finding that over 40% of the population had had a profound spiritual experience or spiritual awakening that changed the direction of their life, but that most of them don’t talk about it.

The common factors people reported were an increased belief in the immortality of the spirit, becoming aware of human unity, a dedication to truth, and a desire to be of service to others. They also had significantly reduced interest in material goals and lost their fear of death.

It was a US study but a similar percentage probably applies to other countries, and I’m thinking we should definitely be talking about this. Spiritual awakening and pursuing spiritual wellbeing is what will turn things around and put us on a new trajectory towards a future of goodness and light.

I trained under several spiritual masters, and I teach Vibrant Cosmic Meditation, but after being a dedicated meditator myself (3 times a day, every day for over 40 years now), and working with so many clients who are spiritual seekers or who have had those transformative awakening experiences, I know that the spiritual path is often not what people expect.

Instead of instant bliss and peace it can become confusing, life can feel like a struggle. You may want to move on from certain friends but think this is wrong, or meet resistance from family and get talked out of it or dismissed, or experience intense emotionality and none of this makes sense. But this is only because we’re not trained in spiritual wellness.

Lots of people give up at this point via cynicism or disillusionment. But resistance is a natural part of the process and this is where we need to call upon the body (organs). It is the source for the internal power to instinctively dismiss any self-sabotage and stay on the spiritual path. I’ve developed some ‘spiritual strength exercises’, especially for this. The spiritual resources of your body are mind-blowing.

I think we are at the start of the spiritual age. The decades of popularity of yoga and chi practices and spiritual teachings have created a change that is reaching a tipping point. Making spirituality as accessible as possible and integrating it into daily life has always been my passion.

So I’ve just finished my online course Spiritual Awakening: A Practical Guide. I’m covering how to cultivate that light that you are drawn to; what spirituality is, what an awakening is and what a 21st century spiritual life looks like. There is a guided meditation and practicals including how to use your body (organs) to smooth the spiritual road ahead, and more!

I plan to keep adding material to this course so it will grow. Find out all about the Spiritual wellness course here

I use the word ‘cosmic’ a lot and people think: hippies, flares, flower-power. But it’s origins are ancient. In Daoist texts there are references to cosmic connection and cosmic chi as well as finding the cosmic self. It’s deeply spiritual but not religious. Cosmic chi is said to shower…
